I don't even know where to begin and I completely understand why so many of our friends with kids recommended this place. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful- informative about every product and not at all pushy. They seemed to pop up just when we needed them and offered all sorts of awesome help. From giving us a product pamphlet so that we could take it home and think about it, to checking inventory, to going out of their way to find out the dimensions of boxes- and our car- so we could figure out how to get it home (they offer delivery and assembly but we didn't want or need it), they were above and beyond in helpfulness. We were there for an hour one day, left to think about it, and came back the next day for another hour to debate and decide (I was the indecisive one, really) The same lady was there and not once, in our hours-long debate did she urge us into a decision, but took a very calm and supportive approach to helping us. The cribs they offered were all very nice. The selection was awesome. They had cradles, bassinets and cribs of all colors, styles and prices ( about $400-1,200 for the cribs we saw) We were originally considering a Graco or Delta convertible crib from Target, but I'm so glad we didn't. The crib we ended up getting, was only a couple hundred more than what we would have paid at Target and the quality was much better. The slats on the sides of the ones at Target would give a little bit if pressure was put on them, whereas the Pali one we got from Lazars was sturdy when put to that test. The finish looks a lot nicer too. They offered a TON of other stuff besides furniture- strollers, high chairs, car seats,diaper bags, potty seats, receiving blankets, bibs, just to name a few. Again, we were considering a Graco or Chicco travel system, but changed our minds while were were there. They have all the strollers on the floor (unlike other store previously mentioned), so you can test how heavy/bulky they are and feel how they move. I wasn't sold on the idea of a jogging stroller until I tested out the City Mini Jogger and fell in love with it. SO LIGHT! Will be back for that and will be opting for a snap n go frame for our car seat in the mean time. Will probably be back at Lazar's for a lot of things. AND final bonus points- they are very family friendly, offering a changing table and even a private nursing room if you need to care for baby while you are taking your sweet, un-pressured time choosing your quality child care equipment." : : : : : : : : : : : : :
