In a new policy published in the April 2011 issue of Pediatrics
(published online March 21), the AAP advises parents to keep their
toddlers in rear-facing car seats until age 2, or until they reach
the maximum height and weight for their seat. It also advises that

until they have reached 4 feet 9 inches tall and are between 8 and

Lazar's is a family business started in 1917 by my
grandparents Paul and Mary Lazar. For over 95 years my grandparents,
my father Victor, my sister Susie, my son Adam, and myself have
nurtured the family business and have treasured the confidence our
customers place in us. From our humble beginnings when my grandparents
and father lived in the back of the store to our current, modern,
9,000 square foot showroom, we have never lost sight of our priorities:
Running our business with integrity and treating our employees and
customers with respect and gratitude. Our products have always been
selected as if they were chosen for our own family. We welcome you
into our store as if it were our home. We want you to have a pleasant
